Meet the Founder

Formerly known as The Black Pearl Experience, Founder Latoya Watson has rebranded it as Black Wonderland: a space for shared experiences, authentic storytelling, and genuine connection.

Latoya lived in Washington, D.C. for seven years. After moving to Cincinnati, she noticed a lack of Black LGBTQ+ spaces where people could be their authentic selves. Determined to change that, she set out to recreate those spaces in Cincinnati.
