From craft days to dance floors, from outdoor adventures to new experiences, everything we create is about bringing people together in ways that feel safe, expansive, and genuinely fun.
Why We Ask for Support
Black Wonderland is entirely volunteer-run.
No one behind the scenes is taking a salary – including myself, as the founder. Every single dollar goes right back into the experiences we create.
Your support helps us:
- Keep events free or low-cost so they stay accessible
- Pay Black queer artists, DJs, hosts, and collaborators fairly
- Cover supplies, venues, and production costs
- Dream up new, creative experiences for the community
Where Your Money Goes
We believe in transparency and intention. When you donate, you’re directly funding:
- Artist and performer compensation
- Event materials (craft supplies, décor, etc.)
- Venue and operational costs
- Community-building experiences that center joy
